Abstract content

The LHCb detector is a single-arm forward spectrometer optimized to study hadrons containing charm and beauty quarks. The detector has recorded about 3 fb$^{-1}$ of data during 2011 and 2012 operations of the Large Hadron Collider. In the talk, we present a description of the detector, a selection of latest and most important physics results, and we discuss as well the future and upgrade plans for the detector.
